In this project our broad objectives were: to increase engagement in creative
activity in hard-to-reach young people; to include and involve young people in a
process of creating high quality radio drama for BBC
transmission;
and to produce for a large BBC audience a
drama which describes
young people in an insightful and
understanding way, using their words.
'Legsy gets a Break' was the outcome, performed at live radio recordings at South Street Arts Centre, Reading; The Point, Eastleigh; and Ropetackle Arts Centre, Shoreham. |

"Legsy has been an experiment, but it's worked. The idea of bringing an audience into a theatre to interact with actors in a drama then, with encouragement from our own Presenters on the night, ask them to question the actors in charactor on such an emotive subject was a huge success."
Duncan McClarty, BBC Producer
