Little Ann
This poem was written by John and William during a workshop at the Probation Hostel with poets Tim Turnbull and John Hegley, when they asked for ballad type lines about interesting people.

Little Ann
Little Ann who thinks she’s big
Sells cans of lager at the Leaf and Fig.

Polite and charming
With a smile that’s disarming,
She pulls the curtains across
And leaves you with nothing.
